Pronator Syndrome remains a Clinical Diagnosis

For patients with persistent daytime symptoms after Carpal Tunnel Release (CTR), Pronator Syndrome may be responsible. Patients with numbness and tingling along with weakness of finger flexors may benefit from proximal release of the Lacertus Fibrosis over the median nerve.

Other studies such as EMG/NCV, Ultrasound, and MRI were not as reliable as physical examination and careful history. When in doubt, listen to the patient.

Of these, Ultrasound was the most specific in catching the diagnosis. It is also the cheapest, fastest, and safest of the three.
